The Rockingham County Amateur Radio Club Inc was founded in December 2002 and was formally known as RATTS (Rockingham Amateur To Talk Society). Our Club Members consist of Amateur Radio Operators throughout Rockingham County, North Carolina. The RCARC meets the 3rd Tuesday night of every month at the Red Cross Building located between Reidsville and Eden on Hwy 14 at 7:00PM. Everyone is invited to join us. May 30, 2009; Saturday; VE Test Session:
The Rockingham Co VE Test Team will hold a Test Session on Saturday, May 30, 2009 at the Eden Branch of the Rockingham County Library on Pierce St. Registration begins at 9:00AM and Testing starts at 9:30AM. June 6, 2009; Saturday, RCARC Social:
The RCARC Saturday Social will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2009 at The Sirloin House on Hwy 14 in Eden. The Social begins at 6:00PM in the private dining room. Please make plans to attend and bring the family along for some great fellowship, terriffic food, and catch up on Club happenings.
June 16, 2009; Tuesday; RCARC Club Meeting:
Our Meeting will be held Tuesday June 16, 2009 at 7:00PM at the Red Cross Building on Hwy 14 between Eden and Reidsville. Come on out for some great programs and see what is in store for the up-coming months. Remember, this is YOUR Club so please come out and support it.
June 27 & 28, 2009; Sat & Sun; Field Day 2009:
Field Day 2009 will be held on June 27 & 28, 2009 (Saturday & Sunday). RCARC will set up for Field Day at the Reidsville City Lake at Shelter #1 this year. All members and guest are welcome to attend. To help out with set up or for more information, please contact Paul, N4CE.
Please join us for our scheduled RCARC Club Nets to keep up on all Club business.
Monday Night Net: is held on 146.85MHz PL 103.5 at 8:30PM Local time. This Net is held weekly with the first part of the Net being 'formal' with all RCARC news and announcements being listed. After the 'formal' there is always a general 'Ragchew' for everyone to make general comments. This Net is a lot of fun and full of information. (Please note that this Net is being held on the 147.345MHz PL 103.5 Repeater untill the 146.85 is placed back in service)
Tuesday Night 440 Net: The Tuesday Night 440 Net is held every Tuesday night with the exception of the third Tuesday which is the Club Meeting night on the W4BJF 443.975MHz Repeater at 8:30PM Local time courtesy of the Rockingham County Repeater Association. This Net is just a ole fashion general 'Ragchew' for anything that pops in the mind.
