Monday Night Net

The RCARC Net is held every Monday evening at 9:00PM local time on the 146.850MHz Repeater. The purpose of the Net is for Club Business and Information during the Formal Session and then turned over to a In-Formal Session for general comments from all stations checked in. We encourage all stations to check in to the Net. If you are interested in being a Net Control Operator for one of the Nets, please contact Mike, KD4CSJ our Net Manager for scheduling.

RCARC Monday Net Script

(Formal Session)

1. Calling the Rockingham County Amateur Radio Club Net. This is (Your Call) calling the Rockingham County Amateur Radio Club Net.

2. This Net meets each Monday at 8:00PM on this frequency of 146.85MHz Repeater for Club and Net business. In case of failure of the 146.85 repeater, we will use the 147.345 repeater with a PL Tone of 103.5

3. Net Control for tonight's session is (Your Name), (Your Call), located in (Your Location).

4. This is a directed Net and all comments must be directed through Net Control. Please do not check in and out of the Formal session of the Net.

5. Any station with Emergency or Priority Traffic please call Net Control now. Emergency or Priority Traffic only.

6. After the Formal Session, we will move into the Informal Session where all stations will have the opportunity to make general comments.

7. Stations wishing to Check-In, please give your Name, Call, Location and state if you have any Club or Net business or announcements.

8. Any mobiles wishing to check-in please call Net Control now.

9. We will now stand by for any check-ins. Please call Net Control now. (Net Control will make a list of all stations checking into the Net by Name, Call, Location, and note if they have traffic for the Net. The Check-in List will be sent to Mike Lewis, KD4CSJ Net Manager on a weekly basis.)

10. (Net Control will make the following standard announcements after all check-ins and the passing of any traffic or other announcements.)
A- Thursday breakfast will be at 7:30 at Chaney's in Reidsville
B- The RCARC Meeting will be on the third Tuesday of the month at 7:00PM at the American Red Cross on Hwy 14
C- We will have our Saturday Social on the first Saturday of the month at The Sirloin House on Hwy 14 in Eden at 6:00PM

11. Net Control will now stand by for any late check-ins.

12. This is (Your Call) now closing the Formal Session on the RCARC Monday Net. We will now move into the Informal Session of the Net for comments from all stations. Any station wishing to close down may do so now. (Once the Formal Session is closed move into the In-formal Session. Call on all Stations who had checked into the Net to make their comments to everyone on the Net. If Net Control does not get a response from a station on the check-in list, assume the station closed down after the Formal Session and go on to the next on the list.)

13. This is (Your Call) now closing the RCARC Monday Net at (Time). We would like to thank all stations for checking into the Net. We will now return the repeater back to normal amateur radio use. Good night and 73
