Hello fellow hams
As a Methodist Minister, and the son of a Methodist Minister, my favorite hobby has always been Amateur radio. I am a retired minister of the First Methodist Church on Scales street in Reidsville, N. C. Prior to that I was Chaplin in the U. S. Army (LTC) having several calls while stationed in Germany, Thailand, Korea, and Alaska. I was first licensed in 1957, and today hold an Extra Class.

My wife (Jean Stadler Pollock) and I will be married 60 years, (July 26th, 2010) we have four children Steve, Beth, Becky, and John. John is serving in the U. S. Army at present with the rank of Bird Colonel.

For 64 years, I have supported the scouting program serving a Chaplin.

My favorite Bible verse is I Corinthians 13:13.

My call K4UUM (the suffix) I am affectionately known as the Unusually Ugly Minister.

The people that I have met over my many years as a ham, have become great friends and very helpful when I needed a little helping hand.
