Greetings from Mike KD4CSJ
Some of my earliest memories of amateur radio are from the sixth
grade or so. I was in school with Starling Gunn whose dad was
Willie and his uncle was Tommy Gunn. Both were amateurs and it
was fascinating to watch them.
In 1960 I joined the US Navy for four years and in the mid sixties
I served in the Navy Reserve as a radioman working as a single
sideband operator. In 1965 I joined Civil Air Patrol as squadron
communications officer. My call sign was Red Dog 52 on HF and
VHF. Later on I took a Tech class taught by Walt Williams at RCC
and got my license. I got my General ticket in April 2001.
I work a lot of the digital modes such as psk-31, psk-63, rtty-45
and some field hell. I enjoy all club functions such as meetings,
field day and picnics.
Thanks for reading a little about my interests.
73 and good dx
