Fred Brewer
Henderson, NC

Fred has always been interested in radio since his
younger days with CB radio and finally got the urge to take his
test for the Amateur Radio License. He was licensed a Tech in
May, 2007 and quickly began his upgrades with General in June,
2007 and Extra in June, 2008. Fred lives in Henderson, NC but
has membership in the RCARC. Fred participates in the Club's yearly
Swapfest has well as helps out with the Club's table at other
Hamfest.
Fred's station consist of all Yaesu radio equipment: FT-950, FT-450,
Yaesu dual-band, FT-857-D which he runs mobile. He also uses when
needed an Ameritron 811-H amp and for 6 meters a converted Heathkit
SB-220 amp rated at 1 KW. His antenna farm consist of a G5RV,
5 element 6-meter beam and 2m/440 vertical. He also has on the
ground but in the process of going up a Cushcraft A3-S Tri-band
beam to be mounted on a Rohn BX-64 tower.
Fred's favorite activities on the air is working 6 meters and
checking into nets.
